The Argo Centaur 8x8 has received a mild refresh for 2015 with the addition of a more upright windshield for increased visibility, a new steering wheel for better comfort and throttle control.  A new flat bed option is available along with an electric dump box.  The 2015 model comes standard with metal doors and an automatic chain oiler system.

HEAVY DUTY MANUAL ARGO WINDSHIELD WIPER

Just In

An Argo Adventure exclusive is the new HD Manual Wiper kit.  This kit will mount on any Argo windshield in under 5 minutes and offers a full 180 degree swipe across the windshield clearing the passenger and driver sides of the windshield.   Unlike the factory electric wiper, it only clears the drivers side of the windshield and can be cumbersome with all the electric wire running up the edge of the windshield and exposed connections when the windshield is laid down.

The HD Manual Wiper Kit uses a heavy duty adjustable black painted stainless steel wiper arm with a rubber wiper blade that can move mud and snow with no issues.  These are not the cheap golf cart wipers you find on E-bay or Amazon.com.  We tried those and they fall apart.  This assembly is marine grade and will stand-up to the abuse from hunting and years of use.

FRONTIER 6X6 AND 8X8 HOOD SCOOP

The addition of a hood scoop on all Frontier 6x6 and 8x8's is a welcomed new upgrade.  This will allow under hood heat to rise and escape keeping temperatures at bay.  You can also add a hood fan (Argo Part # 602-75) to create a vacuum and pull hot air out of the engine bay reducing temperatures even further.   This will make the Frontier a much better vehicle in hot and humid conditions or when worked under a load at slow speeds.

8 WHEEL HD TRAILER

NEW CAMO COLOR OPTION 

 

The addition of Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity Camo is now a new color option for 2014.  The 2013 Mossy Oak Real-Tree will be phased out and the Infinity will become the primary camo color option in 2014.  This color can be added to all models excluding the Centaur for an upcharge over the standard colors of black, blue, red, green and yellow.

2014 ARGO XTD DIESEL

New Argo XTD Diesel Released!

Argo has released the specs of the new 2014 XTD 8x8 Diesel model.

The XTD shares the chassis, transmission and plastic of the XTI, but under the hood is an all new Diesel engine manufactured by Kohler / Lombardi of Italy.  The naturally aspirated liquid-cooled Diesel uses three pistons with 1028cc displacement and has 24 HP and 36.9 lbs ft of torque at very low RPM. The XTD comes standard with a 65 amp alternator and a HD drive belt.

Drive components of the XTD are the same as the XTI and all available accessories for the XTI can be installed on the XTD.

We are now taking order for July / August 2013 Delivery.

ARGO UTV OUTBOARD MOTOR BRACKET

Every Argo utv can be equipped with a outboard motor bracket and up to a 9.9hp outboard or trolling motor.  Its best to use a long shaft outboard as cavitation can be an issue with short shaft models.  The tires alone will propel the vehicle up to 3.5mph on average depending on what tires your Argo has installed.

If you use you Argo in marshes, swamps, or open water often it's best to grease your outer bearings at least every 10 hours or after you are done in the water before storage.  Water intrusion into the bearings and when stored for periods of time can cause rust in the bearings and premature bearing failure.  Take the 10 minutes after each trip and grease those bearings and know that your vehicle's drive-terrain will last for many years and be ready for the next hunt.

Saltwater can be very corrosive and washes grease out of bearings very quickly.  Always power-wash your Argo after each use in saltwater to prevent surface rust on chains and any metal parts.  Remember to always lube your chains after power-washing.  A quick greasing of the outer bearings weekly if used in saltwater is a good idea to prevent grease washout.

If your interested in buying a new Argo the factory has a zinc primer and powdercoated black paint option as well as a new galvanized option for saltwater that can be assembled right from the factory.  On the galvanized option, all black metal parts would be galvanized silver including rims.

ARGO ATV MAINTENANCE KITS

Sometimes trying to track down the correct air filters and oil filters can be troublesome for all the different models that Argo has produced. Our service team at Argo Adventure has put together quick maintenance kits that include the air filters, oil filter, fuel filter and spark plugs for ease of maintenance intervals.

 Heat cycles in the winter on the transmission and engine where you drive the vehicle all day and then park it at night when temps drop in the teens or below zero can cause the engine and transmission to "sweat" causing moisture to build up and possibly freezing.  Instances of so much moisture build-up have been known to leave the transmission frozen and the vehicle immobile.

Doing a engine and transmission oil change mid winter and in the fall before winter is recommended to rid the engine and transmission of any moisture build-up.  If you do not use your vehicle often be sure to always do a oil/filter change at least once a year.

ARGO HEAVY DUTY AXLE AND BEARING UPGRADES

Argo Adventure has put together HD Bearing and Axle upgrade kits that are the exact heavy duty axles and bearings used on all 2010 and newer Argo UTV's. These kits will fit all 1994 - 2009 Argo models.  The new HD bearings are not only are bigger in size then the standard bearings, this new design also eliminates the rubber seals that were the cause of many bearing failures on 2009 and older models. If you run tracks at some time you will experience axle failure with the hub snapping off the end of the axle due to the weak standard welds and axle design.  The new HD axle offers a thicker hub and includes a hole for easy greasing of you outer flange grease zerk.

Argo Adventure has put all the parts needed into a kit with photo instructions to update your bearings and axles to the HD design.  We have not had one new HD axle fail when running tracks and our customers put their units through the toughest conditions on Earth.  You can upgrade to one axle kit at a time when failure happens, or do all 6 or 8 for peace of mind knowing bearing failure won't take the fun out of your big hunt.

We offer kits for the Vanguard 6x6, Bigfoot 6x6, Frontier 6x6 and 8x8, Response 8x8 and Avenger 8x8 models.   A complete retro on one axle takes less then 1.5 hours for the beginner mechanic.
